Everyone would agree that communication is important factor to success in today's society. Since I want to success, I thought I needed to improve my speaking. So I looked over the books about how to make a good speech. And I finally found a book that gives many helpful advices. I am going to introduce some of them. First, start a speech breaking a wall between you and the audience. That means you have to be acquainted with the audience. For example, use certain words that only your audiences understand. They would think you as an acquaintance. When you make them feel that way, they will listen to you more carefully. And that's how you communicate with the audience better. Second, give many episodes that they can understand. The episodes are often used for helping them understand easily. The more episodes you have, the more easily people focus on your speech. But 3 episodes are enough for normal speech. Attention! the episodes must be related to the topic. You don't have to explain about the topic throughout the speech. Give short mention about the topic and give episodes. The audience will understand what you are trying to say. Finally, always learn about the audience and learn from them. Be modest before the audience. If you say just things you know, they will just think you give a speech because you want to boast of your knowledge. You are just a person that remind them of the things they used to know. Sometimes, you will enlighten them for something. But don't be arrogant. How well you deliver speech depends on how well audience understand your speech. Those advices helped me a lot. I hope you can speak before people better with those advices.
Hi, i am kim you jin. i will give you my comment. Fist your writing has coherence. you fnished writing with the topic you mentioned from top of it. and you use well the time order words. however, i am a little bit confused if it is related to time. also you povided background informations. it could inpire poeple to focus well on your advice. it will be very useful and necessary to all students in this class. however, if you need some tools that needed for it, it would be better. of couse i know it is difficult to add it on this kind of writing but you can add it by suggesting some materials to make people feel comfortable. thank you!!

ReplyDeleteBy reading your work I learned how to give a good speech. The whole paragrph is well organized and easy to follow. But I think it's a little bit off from the form of process writing. I think process means taking step by step forward. Like the comment above me, I don't see any time order. Other than that I liked the part that saying ; using some episodes related to the topic heips the audiendce to understand easily.

I thought this writing is a process paragraph because I explained from the starting part of giving a speech and followed as the speech goes. If my opinion isn't appropriate, I will write a new paragrph with different subject.
