Eun Dana/A Sense of Place/Mon 9am

If there was one place that I could describe without watching, it would be my high school dormitory. Living there for 3 years, I can exactly remember what it looks like from outside and the interior also. The dormitory is built with brown-red bricks and it has 4 floors total. Each floor has 6 rooms and a laundry room. Moreover, there is a public toilet provided for students because there is only one in each room. The dormitory is a building of corridor access but the corridor is curved so the building is shaped like this '.' When you enter the building, there are two sets of shoes racks on both sides. In the front, there is a computer lounge and at the end of each corridor, there is a separate study room that is open for 24 hours. When you turn left on your entrance, there is a stair way and when you go up the stairs there are the rooms where students stay. All the rooms are designed same-two bunks, 4 closets, 4 drawers and 1 toilet. Four students were assigned to each room, one from each department. I spent 3 years with my friends there and this place means so much to me. I have countless memories and whenever I think of my dormitory I can recall the times I had with my high school friends.

  1. Hi, it is NA NAE SON. I've read your writing.
since I have never lived in dormitory, It was so interesting.
and i could sufficiently imagine without real picture.
but i think if you put more about your emotions on the place,
the story would be more beautiful and looked more memorable.
    Thanks,

  2. Hi, i am Kim you jin. thanks for your writing. i envy you to spend your time in dormitory with your friends. it seemed to be very funny and special time, right? you describe well so i can imagine well how it looks. you describe it by location and it helps us to feel it well. i think it is specific enough to represent its looks. however if you add some story happening in some position you described, it will be better. i thinkg it is a little bit array of position. if you add more your own story related to the desciribing, it will be more memorable. thank you. see you : )

I spent 3 years with my friends there and this place means so much to me. Every day after the nighttime study hours, my friends and I would gather in one room and chat until late, like 3 o’clock in the morning. Sometimes, we would order chicken or bossam for a midnight meal. It was actually prohibited to order in the foods, but we would do it secretly because we were so hungry. All these little things are now the best memories that I can remember. I have countless memories and whenever I think of my dormitory I can recall the times I had with my high school friends.
